The nice stuffs in life

Its been a long time i haven't been home... and eat all those delicious kueh. I didnt think much bout this stuff at all but no thanks to some1 who reminded me how sweet a pongteh taste... and all those sweet sweet kueh... anyways pics worth a million words... so i think i rather show the pics...

1st.... kueh wajik... yummy... long time havent had any....


Pongteh... sweet sweet pongteh.... this might not look very good... but just to give u the idea... my opinion is... this should be atleast 2-3 days old to really really enjoy it... when its really really thick and the potatoes had absorb all the juices... yummy.... forget to mention... those restaurants selling this dish which is very very cair like water sucks... a real pongteh is thick and its cukup manis cukup masin... alll cukup cukup...


Kueh Lapis... ish... sooo nice long time havent ate any too...


kueh bangkit... not my favourite... but still kinda miss that taste...


kueh ku.... aiyo.. this is my all time favourite... the pastry with peanut paste inside... sweet.... long time havent had any of this too... really missed the sweet taste... also known as ang ku kueh by those mandarin pricks


this is call itik tim... the best when its hot... the salted vege... the duck... and the best part of itim tim.... is the soup..... really missed that taste too...

damn u.... make me feel hungry in the middle of a tutorial... and made me went out of the class earlier than i should... i bet any real baba will miss all this nice nice nice.... kuehs... to me, the kueh ku and pongteh is a must everytime i go back home... though i dont get to enjoy it most of the times... see pongteh is best after its slightly dry... making it very very nice to eat with bread or rice... but that takes 2-3 days... by the time its just nice... i am on the way back to kl... swt... what a waste... anyways...if u always wonder... why those nyonyas big and round... or why there's a high rate of getting diabetes or obese in baba and nyonya people... its the kuehs.... they are sooooooooooooooooo sweet.... but very tak boleh tahan... macam mana pun mesti makan... hehe gua tak boleh tahan dah... enjoy the pics...
